Late Night Thing is back again, ready to kick and cajole you TV slaves into watching good stuffs. The dynamic LNT duo had planned on taking potshots at the lack of any writers room action lately on 30 Rock, but we decided instead to take aim on Michael Cera. Seriously, what is that kids problem? Rewatchability of Juno or Rick and Myra’s iPod Movie? Zero. Rewatchability of Arrested Development? Infinite. Get it together, Mikey. LNT - we will fight you, if we have to. For reals.

It’s a weird week of what to watch down here at Late Night Thing Headquarters, and one of the first weeks we actually had to consider postponing a column because we were so confused. We’re almost rerun-free, so that’s not the problem. And yes, there are plenty of actual stars (as opposed to just celebs…), so that’s not the problem either. Well, hmm, only way to describe it is if you just read the whole thing then - so do it. LNT - What a peculiar week!

It’s a whole new year here at Late Night Thing, and that means all new material right? All new guests? All new shows? NO! Well, kinda. Fallon will be taking over Conan’s place soon, but we’re probably not going to be traversing any new ground with that show. Leno gets a new show, but it’ll just be him at 10 o’clock. And Conan, well honestly, that’s going to be just a wreck right? How can it not be? 2009 - the year LNT stopped stopped caring! (double negatives ftw!)

Late Night Thing brings you the rundown of all the New Years Eve reruns this week… and oh, wait, all of them are reruns this week?? For real? Well why are we even here then?!? Oh, that’s right, it’s because the time for the boys of the Thing to vent with their WORST OF list for 2008 has arrived, and boy is it a big, fat doozy… err we mean stinker. LNT - 2009 has to be better than this, right?

It’s Xmas week down here at Murdershow HQ, and what exactly has Santa brought down the chimney for Late Night Thing this year? Well, if you’re a jerk, not much. But if you’re jerks (plural) like Stephan & Erech, well then it’s not a bad week at all. Sure, all the talkies are getting shut down on Wednesday night for Christmas Eve, and then everyone is going into hibernation on Christmas day and showing reruns, but that still leaves Monday, Tuesday, and even Friday too (for some of the shows at least) - which makes this a pretty good week, all things considered. Oh yeah, and the Thing starts it’s year end Best and Worst lists, this week it’s the BEST. LNT - baby, it’s cold outside.

It’s Late Night Thing 2.4, and we’re coming at you like a pair of Iraqi journalists shoes! Oh ha ha ha, get it? It’s a joke about a current affairs event that was funny enough to begin with that has no need of being “punched up”. But that’s what we’re in for this week, and a lot of it too. Get ready for it, oh man, get ready for it. LNT - we’ll never kiss you goodbye, never.

Late Night Thing is back with a new week of checking out the talkies, good and bad. And there is some hope this time around, because there is actually SOME good (unlike last week, oh man!) for us all, despite the news that NBC wants us all to kill ourselves. Yeah, because the holiday depressions aren’t bad enough as it is, right?. The new year can’t get here fast enough. LNT - are the holidays over yet?!

Jay and Jimmy are the only ones bringing anything new, and if you really took a closer look at Jay’s lineup, you might not really think it was that new at all, that is unless you just stepped out of a wormhole from the year 1987. Turkey gravy and bathtub gin, not to mention leftovers for the next day, and Black Friday messiness, and we’re already on the right track. But are the talkies? Dave is a workhorse, bringing his best all week long, while everyone else takes Thursday and Friday off, but did they earn their vacation time or not? Keep reading to find out.
