Late Night Thing

MurderShowDotNet: Latest post

Late Night Thing is back again, this week being very careful about what they wish for in the future. Sure, lamenting how bad the tv is in the summer seems a fair point for us to make, until you then see the cavalcade of stars come out for the talkies like they have been lately, and one is sure to get excited. Excitement fades quickly though as you suddenly realize the projects they are pushing ARE ALL AWFUL. Higher grade of celeb, lower grade of product, what's gone wrong Hollywood? LNT - We could do your job in our sleep.

Week 34 of the greatest weekly guide to watching stuff, and it's a great week to have such a great guide too. We can't even imagine how lucky it is for you to have us! Not only are all the talkies bringing their bring with all new eps, but they're actually good new episodes too. How is that possible you must wonder, and we wondered it too, but we're ready to just accept it. Gratefully. LNT, beggars CAN be choosers.

Interview with Artist Matt MacFarland

MurderShowDotNet: Latest post

Matt MacFarland is one of the funniest cartoonists that you've never heard of. From his acclaimed webcomic "Bargain Bin", to now actively shopping a collected book of his strips around to publishers, 2008 is poised to be a year where his name rings familiar. So keep reading to find out why you've never heard of Matt before today but also why you'll wish that you had.

Revoltech Tetsujin 28

MurderShowDotNet: Latest post

Erech breaks out an old review that'd been sitting on the shelves for awhile, gathering dust and not being read. All of that changes as of right now though as soon as Erech hits publish, in this review of the Revoltech Tetsujin 28 figure by Kaiyodo. Find out why this review sat for so long, and if Erech is going to get any other Revoltech figures in the future too...

Late Night Thing

Late Night Thing is back with another rundown of all things Late Night. Jay. Dave. Conan. Craig. Jimmy. You know who they are, you know what they do, and it's up to the boys of LNT to tell you which ones you should watch this week and why. We're like a tivo that runs on beer. And hate. LNT, we almost disappeared for a week like those guys at AST. Except we didn't.

Barely Worth Its Own Post

  • I love toys, but sometimes I hate them too. This is one of those times. Weird, creepy and more than a little racist to boot. Well, at least they're affordableeeeEEEEEWW WTF?!?! Yikes.
  • Volume 3 of Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillip's amazing book Criminal hit stores this week - did you buy it? If not, WHY NOT?
  • Eddie Murphy's newest masterpiece, Meet Dave, opened Friday to a ridiculously paltry 1.7 million dollars. Double ouch when you factor in the budget at over 100 million. It starts to look even MORE queer that Murphy passed on attending the Hollywood premiere of the film AND any publicity rounds for it either. Just desserts is what it looks like from here, and hopefully good riddance to washed up rubbish too.
  • With very little hyperbole, I can say the Comedians of Comedy actually changed my life. I'd always been a fan of comedy, and revered comedians as if they were rock stars - but CoC really got me involved, and let me see the comedy scene, in a different way - as well as helping to open my eyes to tons of comics I may not have otherwise been exposed to. So it's with great sadness I link to this - the Comedians of Comedy Die - the last CoC show ever. Sigh.
  • Our favorite stoner Doug Benson's album is finally being released from AST Records on July 15th. We're not really sure yet how to actually buy the CD because it's not on the AST store page yet, but I'm sure it will be SOON, and when it is we urge you all to go grab it. Your funnybone will thank you.
